Mvuu Lodge

for Safari tours to Lower Zambezi

Introduction

At Mvuu we live close to nature. The Lodge is situated in a secluded location deep within the game-rich Chiawa area, next to the Zambezi National Park, opposite the world heritage site of Mana Pools. Indigenous bush surrounds the lodge, wildlife roams freely through the camp, the un-spoilt and abundant river offers phenomenal game fishing - Trophy, catch, and release Tigerfish being our specialty.

Accommodation

Overlooking the Zambezi River and tucked away from the rest of the camp to offer a little more privacy, is our deluxe flagship tent.

This elegant abode is furnished in teak and has a king-size bed, two single beds, and a lounge area making it the ideal family unit or secluded couples retreat.

The beautiful en-suite bathroom is equipped with a bath and shower, and hot water is available 24 hours a day.

All our tents are fully equipped with fresh bedding, mosquito nets, insect repellants, solar fans, LED lighting, hurricane lamps, towels, bathroom amenities, coffee and tea making facilities.

Dining

Our thatched restaurant and bar, with its stunning deck that extends over the banks of the Zambezi River, is the perfect spot for absorbing those breathtaking sunsets whilst sipping a sundowner, dining out under a canopy of brightly lit stars whilst the evening fire and sounds of the bush fill the background, or for having your early morning coffee whilst the dramatic dawn announces the new day in true African splendor. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch & dinner on a set menu basis and the bar is open from 10.00 till 22:00.

If you are camping or on a self-catering package, you are more than welcome to join us at the bar or restaurant for a meal or two if you are not in the mood for cooking. We do ask that you book these meals in advance with your accommodation so that the kitchen can plan ahead in terms of supplies.
