General Safety Guidelines

  • Professional Guides
All safaris and activities are led by experienced, certified local guides trained in safety, wildlife behavior, and first aid.

  • Briefings Before Every Activity
Before each excursion, guests receive a safety briefing outlining protocols, expectations, and any necessary precautions.

  • Small Group Sizes
We keep group sizes manageable to ensure personalized attention and a safe, controlled experience.

  • Secure Transport
All vehicles and boats used for transfers and tours are regularly maintained and operated by licensed drivers and captains.

Wildlife Encounters

  • Always follow your guide’s instructions when near animals.

  • Stay inside vehicles or boats unless directed otherwise.

  • Keep noise to a minimum and avoid sudden movements during game drives or walking safaris.

Health & Medical Precautions

  • Vaccinations & Travel Health
Please consult your doctor before travel. We recommend vaccinations for yellow fever, hepatitis A & B, typhoid, and tetanus, and taking malaria prophylaxis.

  • Hydration & Sun Protection
Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and bring a hat and sunglasses — especially during walking safaris and daytime tours.

  • Personal Medical Needs
If you have allergies or a medical condition, let us know in advance. We recommend traveling with a basic first aid kit and any personal medication you may need.

COVID-19 & Hygiene

  • We follow the latest WHO and local health authority guidelines.

  • All vehicles and gear are sanitized regularly.

  • Hand sanitizers are available during most activities.

  • Guests showing symptoms of illness are encouraged to postpone or reschedule.

Cross-Border Travel

  • Carry a valid passport and ensure you have the necessary visas (e.g., KAZA Univisa).

  • Health screenings may be required when entering Botswana or Zimbabwe.

  • Our team will assist with information on border requirements and ensure a smooth crossing.

  • Water Activities (like canoeing, cruises, Devil’s Pool): Life jackets are provided, and weather/water conditions are assessed daily.

  • Adventure Sports (bungee jump, zipline, rafting): Run by licensed operators with strict adherence to international safety standards.

  • Helicopter & Microlight Flights: Operated by certified pilots with safety briefings and emergency protocols in place.
