Accommodation

The Marine is a small and exclusive property, rooms range from double rooms to luxury double rooms with sea views and suites.

Standard Double & Double Rooms at The Marine offer uncompromising style for which the hotel is known. Some of the rooms even open out onto private balconies. Each of the Double Rooms offers an en-suite bathroom as well as air-conditioning and under-floor heating.
Amenities included are a welcome bottle of wine, slippers and bathroom amenities, romantic turndowns with sparkling wine for honeymooners, Tea and coffee making facilities, Complimentary Wi-Fi, a bottle of water at turndown, Hot water bottles placed in beds at turndown in winter and a complimentary newspaper
Luxury Double with sea view, with the same amenities as the double rooms , the Luxury Double Rooms with Sea View are perfectly positioned for watching pods of dolphins and whales as they swim in the bay below. The panoramic views over Walker Bay have inspired the decor of each of the rooms. A comfortable seating area and spacious en-suite bathroom, and air-conditioning and under-floor heating throughout, make for ultimate comfort.

Premier Suites - The ten individually decorated Premier Suites at The Marine each offer a view over the expansive ocean vista surrounding the hotel. Two of the Premier Suites offer guests views from privatebalconies. Each Premier Suite encompasses a separate lounge with
flat-screen television and DVD player. Satellite TV channels and Wi-Fi are also available. A beautifully decorated bedroom with en-suite bathroom is made all the more comfortable with air-conditioning and under-floor heating throughout. Two of the Premier Suites include a fireplace.

The SeaFood, true to its name, this restaurant menu offers guests a seafood menu showcasing the ethically sourced local ingredients that the Overberg region has to offer.
The Pavilion serves as the breakfast room at The Marine. An incredible spread of fresh fruit and freshly baked patisserie confections are laid out each morning, and hot breakfast options are served à la carte.

Overlooking the incredible Walker Bay, The Sun Lounge is the ideal spot to enjoy drinks and snacks while searching the waters for resident and visiting marine life.

Included Activities

Hermanus is synonymous with land-based whale watching, and guests of The Marine can enjoy this pastime from the comfort of their own suites, or on a cliff walk in front of the hotel.

Extra Activities

Feeling a bit more adventurous? Then take to the seas , with kayaking or boat tours that will take you right up close to the southern right whales. Or get a bird’s-eye view of the gentle giants with a scenic flight over Walker Bay. The white-sand playgrounds offer plenty for
avid swimmers, surfers and sunbathers. There are also trails for horse riding on certain beaches. And not forgetting the local golf courses.
